RE-SURFACE

How cool are these graffiti style lamp shades from Re-Surface? If you live in Brooklyn, you probably recognize one or two of them. Personally, I would be totally happy even if I could just have the panoramic photo of one of these.

Retro Super Future

A couple of years ago, my sweet hubby got me these bright yellow Retro Super Future shades — and I still love them to pieces...but now they have these grown up gold sided ones that I need to have. Turner, if you are reading this, please take note. Thank you.

70'S SWAG

ISO50 always uses the best 70's color palate on everything! It just instantly ads that extra layer onto the modern type. I love this poster, and intro to his portfolio. The letter introducing his portfolio is totally Mad Men (I know that's not the 70's, but still - it's awesome.)

NASTY GAL

Not that I am brave enough to wear most of this stuff, but that doesn't mean I don't love it! I might really need these shorts from Nasty Gal...I'm working on my tan as we speak.

BACK FROM THE DEAD!

In my usual style, I have stopped blogging for the past month and a half because I have been crazy busy at the office. The Improper has just put out the winners for our Boston's Best Issue, and it has taken over my life for the past few weeks. But I'm back, and I thought it would be appropriate to share some of the winners that I know and love! On the left is work that was featured by Best Local Artist, Jeila Farzaneh — her work is literally larger than life and absolutely breathtaking. On the right is Best Local Designer — Jewelery, Lauren Blais — a friend I've known for about 8 years now, and she's just awesome at what she does. Check these girls out!
